So now, like, my real home is chicago. It's neat. Pavel got here today! Abbie was supposed to get here today...well she did get to chicago. But, my phone aparently died, i wasn't quite aware of this and i guess she couldn't get ahold of me. So she's staying with her mom and coming tomorrow.

We went to chipotle today, it was mostly free. Then came back home and unpacked some. I've been here a whole week, but i'm not unpacked yet. Eh...i don't like unpacking, eventually i'll be done.

Finished one week of work, starting another, i'm working 9-5 and have an apartment. lol.
I think its funny.

We still kinda have no food. I wanna get one of those hangy things with baskets in decreasing sizes that people put fruit and stuff in. I think it'd be handy because it'd make shelf space from floating unused space. Bonus points. We do however have like 12 cloves of garlic. We'll be good for a while, even with regular vampire attacks.

Even though I'm kinda working a lot (this is a lot for me), i really like not having *any* thing else to worry about, like in terms of school work or that kind of thing hanging over my head the whole time i'm not at work. Weekends are totally stressfree and for enjoying, not for donig/worrying about homework. Delicious, i'm going to take advantage of this and milk it for all it's worth the whole summer long. That's a lot of milk.

Oh, the best thing about my job is that i get a 1 hour lunch, which i get paid for since i'm full time. However, since i don't really have food yet, i've just been either eating ramen or getting a sandwich from somewhere, i think tomorrow may be ramen day.

There's thunder outside. It goes smack smack, the whether's been pretty tame for summertime, when the livin is easy. Gotta get ready to go to bed so i can get up and go to my 9-5 office job tomorrow.

ant

Work was kinda slow/boring today. I didn't really have too much to do. I'm happy tomorrow is friday. Today for lunch i got a sandwich and went to vivian's and i made dinner with elibet. i like living in an apartment. I'm really glad i'm here. i don't really have much food though. I haven't bought essentials. i realized that i don't have the carrying capacity to do it myself, so i decided to wait until pavel and/or abbie are here, and we can go together.

i woke up really untired this morning at like 650, it was weird. i tried to sleep some more though. There was a point in the day when it seemed like time stopped and i went into cloudy sleepy mode. Sometimes while i work, i think i just do weird things without knowing it or paying attention to it. Erin and I spent at least 30 minutes looking at some of her pictures from college to find a spectacularly bad one to send to her future roommates. That passed time. I like when i have to deliver things and walk around outside of the office. There were also only 3.5 of us there the whole time. Actually all morning it was just me and michelle, the supervisor, although i had actual work to do then. In the afternoon there was a couple more people there. Ok, time to relocate everything to my real bedroom. goodbye pavpav's room,

ant

I'm in my new home! But my bum is all alone...
Moving in here was a tiresome process, now that i'm by myself, i have little motivation to move or clean anything. Although, i'm actually going to sleep in my room tonight instead of pavel's.
Guess what? I'm done with school. It's nice. I like it. The week after school was mostly bumming around, inflamed, until i could live in a sterile, catfree environment. I ate lots of vivians cookies. They were delicious, but i tried to make it look like there were more in the barrel when i left.

I ate a lot of food recently, lots of deliciousness, but not so much exersizingness. Next week i think i'm going to start, although a modest amount, otherwise i'll just stop and not do it at all all summer. The apartment was left fairly gross and wasn't cleaned at all. They also had lots of stuff all over, which is all gone now. Only some of the apartment is clean clean right now, there are lots of cracked removed tiles from the floors, a few holes in the wall, a stove that doesn't work right, but that doesn't matter, cuz weiner central has excellent strength.

The sunroom was painted blue, which soon will be painted back white, not by me, but by k&g, not at my expense. I like things that aren't at my expense. I hope the stove will be fixed at someone else's expense. I went shopping and bought milk. I like milk. You know what would probably be really easy? Drinking a whole gallon of milk in an hour. I mean, i like milk...a lot. There's also the edge that eastern europeans have...

So, pavpav went home for a bit after school and is coming back in a couple days. Yay! So doug and i did some cleaning of gross things, gag worthy even. Aparently flies can breathe under water, because i drowned a fly and it came back to life. Then doug smashed it later. But then there was a fly corpse on doug's empty bed after he moved out, so there may have been more than one fly. That is uncertain.

Doug left a few days ago, and pavel doesn't come til saturday, sooo... i'm alone in the apartment. I thought it would be weird, maybe a little creepy/scary to live alone for a while. But it isn't really at all. I'm not sure why. I would think maybe i'd be a little weirded out, but no. Although curtain type things need to be obtained, because because can see inside! I hope i don't get robbed ever.

It's starting to get a little humid. It hailed today. But it stopped exactly at 5pm so i could walk home from work. I work a real job now too. Full time! It's interesting, i've never worked full time before, let alone in an office before. Well i did this past quarter, but that was only 7 hours a week. But most exciting, i get a lunch break which is an entire hour long, and since i'm full time, i get paid for it. Yay! I think i'll pack lunches usually, or just walk back tomy apartment since i live half a block away, thats what i did the past two days. I can't tell if working this much makes time (as in days/weeks) go by slower or faster. Because time at work goes pretty slowly. But time at home goes quickly. It's uncertain.

The dong made the move fine, don't worry.

I'm getting sleepsie.

ant

Everytime i go into the bathroom and use that urinal i forget it says it until i look up, and it always makes me laugh.
(the pictures linked don't work, but soon they will)

on account of me finishing finals on tuesday morning, i'm posting in my livejournal.

This morning was ochem, it actually went pretty well. There were some problems that were tricksy, but i wasn't tricked, or maybe i was, i guess that'd be the point of a trick. But i had confident answers for all problems, which is a good thing. I might even get an A if i did really well on it and am lucky. That'd be really exciting and take some emphasis off the ambiguously low grade i will get in sosc. My room is slowly leaving the state of nasty dirtyness it has been in for the past few weeks. That is good.

Dan Hammer, why have you stopped facebook messaging me? I think maybe i went to one level to high on the creep-o-meter for him. Hammer Time. Maybe i'll see dan hammer more later on.

I need a summer job, that is the main objective for this week. I need neeed neeeed one. Hmm, yes.

Spring Break! is going to be in Memphis and Arkansas with Doug and Pavel and Rachel. We're gonna rock out Tennessee Douglass style. woot! I've been lacking with the picture taking recently, so i don't have any to post, but since i like linking pictures a lot, i'm gonna stick one in.

There will not be a lack of pictures in memphis/arkansas, i assure any weary reader of that. I think i may have lost any readership i used to have however, considering, in the last year i have posted, nearly not at all.

I have not played the trumpet in a few weeks. I feel a little bad about that. I'm going to travel without my trumpet over break, it'll feel weird, even though i haven't been playing that much recently. I guess i did go to california last summer without my trumpet, so it won't be the first time. It's kinda annoying actually to travel with it, because it's awkward and clumbsy to carry around.

Oh, bob came to visit few weeks ago, i don't remember if i posted about that, i do have some pictures of that, ooo, i will link a couple good ones...

Bob greeted all of my friends appropriately as you can see

He tried not to look creepsie in pictures, sometimes he succeeded

Ok, this one doesn't have bob in it, but i think it's a really excellent picture of Rachel May Pavel and Doug

Angry man may have came out a few times, bob has lost 5 points in his angry man skill over the past year. -5 to angry man

Ok, no more pictures, uh oh, my laundry is done, i don't want any one to nab it.
I am going to actually post. Look see, touch.

I used to use this a lot at home. I think i mostly don't do it as much (almost not at all) at school is because of time. Not that I'm doing work 24 7, but there's usually something besides posting that i would rather do. Although, right now i've rebelled against my work temporarily. Although I have 130 pages of foucault to read for thursday. Thats kinda a rediculous reading assignment for two days. Eh, it just won't get done, no big, not like i participate in class anyway.

So I got up this morning early so i could practice. I woke up and ended up getting out of bed and took a shower, then i decided to play with photoshop instead of go practice, then i ate breakfast and went to class. I'm learning new things with photoshop when i play with it. I can now implement the use of shadows and highlights effectively! I know you are rejoicing at this fact. I did. I still want to learn how to use gradients. That seems tricky and i don't think i'll learn by myself because it will take a lot of experimenting or reading. Maybe one day later. I haven't really taken too many pictures this quarter. Most of the pictures i have are from a few days, and a lot of other people took a bunch. I took a few over this past weekend though. This past weekend was really fun. After it was over i was thinking about all the things we did, and there were a lot of things. I was very impressed with us. And Chris was here for the week! but now he's gone again, and will soon be back in the motherland.

Thursday we went iceskating after class. It was Doug's first ice running experience.

And then went to sweet time in the evening.

It went really well! I was really really excited to see everything jessica and i worked on be actually performed for other people. It was pretty cool and i'm definitely glad i did this and wrote the music. For a while i was a little crabby about it because it took a buttlong time to write over break and it took more time than i expected during the quarter, but that's ok because it was a really cool experience. And all of my friends and i went to go watch it on thursday, i dressed spiffy like with my new shirt from mom and my bachrach coat. Yay! Sweet Time! Anyway, that was really fun. Ok i'm done with that. Thursday night was Millikin House, yes, Mr. Oil Drop himself.

We partied in his nationally historic house. I think that's funny.

Friday we had Fogo de doug, i mean chao. Doug experienced the bonus round...

...on our way up. We ate delicious, delicious, delicious meats and foods. Soo much meats, so much goodness.

Hmm, it looks like theres a new easy way to insert pictures, i could show pictures while i narrate. Hmm. Ok, i just went back and tried to insert pictures of things. I don't know if it will work. Anyway. After Fogo, we went shopping. I got some delicious clothes from urban. Doug and I got track jackets, they are the same track jacket, they are good. I got a plain brown polo too, it's good. Then we went home for a bit and went back downtown after dinner for Demitri Martin. It was really fun/ny, but no pictures of this section of events. Then we ate at a 24h diner on belmont, which is the street the comedy place was near. It reminded me of coventry. Then on our way home we had an interesting/scary experience on the l. A bunch of college kids got on at one stop in the loop with three bottles of bacardi and were passing them around to random people on the train, random middle aged guys and homeless people. And they were kinda acting crazy and acting like they were gonna fall all over us. Then they got this belligerent smelly homeless (unless his home was the l) guy to drink half a bottle of bacardi in like 15 seconds. Then the guys left and we were stuck to deal with the drunk homeless guy, who luckily was only belligerent and yelling. Finally we got home.

Saturday was the cast party for sweet time and some dorm party. We went down to Liz and Doug's southern tennessee roots that night with Jack.

The cast party was fun especially because i got to meet Angela!! Jessica's Twin!!!! I was so excited, and she is really super cool. They did cast gifts and everything, it was fun and exciting. Then I went back to pierce and met back up with everyone else and running home at 1 in the morning holding my bottle bacardi that i was gifted, lol.

Then sunday i guess i finally did some work. Yay for not much work during this weekend. Bob is coming next weekend!!! We are already planning lots of things bobby machine. Now, i hope this pictures thing worked, here goes. We hung out at mi casa yesterday and such interesting developments as the bone queen were found.

Stephanie got her living and roommate information for valencia yesterday. So naturally we facebooked her and i friended her, but she hasn't accepted my offer of friendship yet. We also googled her and she had lots of hits. So we did the most creepy thing we could think of and photoshopped a really interesting picture of stephanie as the bone queen and her roommate as the holy roman emperor dueling. It was pretty fantastic. Fire and ice flew everywhere! The bone queen is in the lead when the snapshot was taken (to my facebook for the picture).

I realized i didn't bring home my suit or any other actually formal stuff.
It's been a long time of no update, and i've been home doing absolutely
nothing, but being busy at the same time. So i post:
Start with finals week recap: Eh, a lot more work than previous finals
weeks, ground through, total of 22pages and 2 finals, it was fine.
Friday partied it up tufts house style, excellently. Then chicago came
to willoughby!
There was no pukeypukey in the car ride to willoughby = success! Both
no. 3 and 4 were restrained during the car trip, better for everyone.
We did willoughby type things when we were here. It was super fun.
First we ate a delicious meal that my mom made, and then went to giant
eagle and ran around and took pictures and bought groceries for the
weekend. We did a lot of hanging out in my house and watching movies.
We went shopping and went to DTW. Chiptled!!! So i found out there is
another chipotle close by me. There are 4 within 15 minutes of me, i
find that kinda funny. But the one i just found is bad. Anyway. We went
sledding, which was delicious. May didn't really like to be covered in
snow, you can tell because she is angry at the snow in the pictures.
There was lots of fresh snow on the ground, so the powder flew all over
and it was fun. We went to the amish, and said whatsup, they gave us
baked goods, we gave them some paper money. They also made belts and
candles for us. They are cool, even if they don't like to use buttons.
We watched some scary movies, texas chainsaw massacre and the ring,
neither of which i thought were very scary, which is good because i
don't like to be scared by scarry movies.
After chicago left willoughby, i kinda vegged for a bit. Now it's the
next week, and i'm not sure exactly what i did during that time. But
there was hanging out, and stuff. I finally started writing some of the
music i need to write for jessica's play yesterday. It's going to take
longer than anticipated, but as long as it's not, umm, bad, then it'll
be fine. I went shopping a few times. Gifting this year is difficult.
I'm specifically uncreative right now and cannot think of very good
gifts, at least i have after christmas to think about it too. Hmm, i
can't talk about this, who knows how many lurkers are out there, keep
it secret keep it safe! I'm hoping to get spontaneous inspiration. I'm
waiting.
I gotta cut this short, need to shower, i'll be back again,

i refer you to bob's livejournal for a more thorough description of the chicago experience over thanksgiving. Although i will supliment it with important parts left out.

The event with the guy and the hat: So i tried on this hat that i really liked, long story short, it made me look like i had jaundice and i should not wear it ever again. So we were sitting in a corner of the store and looking at people, and this dude in a blue shirt tried on the hat, it didn't make him look jaundice, and we thought it looked good on him. So i was trying to get rachel or emily to go over to him and tell him it looked good. He put the hat down and tried on some other ugly things. Emily and Rachel weren't going over to tell him, luckily emily was sitting on a chair with wheels. So i wheeled her over to the guy, and we were right next to him and she still wouldn't say anything, so i started talking really loudly about the hat and who it would look good on, and then she said really loudly someone in a blue shirt. Then i rolled her back and we all continued to observe this guy. Then he came close to where we were and he took off one of the ugly things he was trying on and you could see his back a little bit and then rachel said loudly "i saw his back, i'm not into him anymore" and then he turned around and looked at us when we were all looking at him, lol, uber creepy.

There was also this thing with this girl with a camera: So this girl was wearing one of those really expensive SLR like $1000+ digital cameras around her neck in old navy. So bob and i decided we should tell her she has a nice camera and that she should take a picture of us. So bob did, and then she was like I'm not giving you my camera and then got all nervous and walked away. it was kinda funny because she didn't even hear what we said but assumed he was trying to steal her camera, if i had a super nice camera and wore it like a badge i would want to take pictures of random people. Anyway, i don't think these stories were as good retold as they were to experience, i'm going to stop adenduming, to ochem, adios

ant

quick update before i probably won't post until break. So to summarize things:

Thanksgiving break was really fun. Bob came on wednesday. May and Rachel also stayed over break, we had fun. Pavel didn't go home until thursday morning, so he came out with us to eat on wednesday. Hung out in the dorm, played some smash, ate some good food, went shopping on friday. I was happy with my purchases, although both pairs of shoes i wanted were not possible to get, i was disappointed. I found like the coolest shoes ever at Aldo's, but they didn't have my size. I got a couple sweaters at the gap. I went ben sherman crazy at nordstroms. Ok, two items doesn't count as crazy. I got a cool track jacket to add to my steadily increasing arsenal of track jackets, and a cool hat. I found another hat that i liked a lot, it was penguin and reversible, apparently it didn't match my hair eyes or skin and therefore made me look sickly and yellow and jaundiced. it was decided that jaundice is not a look one tries to achieve. i thought it would have looked good on doug, but apparently i like jaundice so my opinion shouldn't be considered credible. I also see this pair of ben sherman pants at urban.com that i like a lot, but i don't want to buy pants without trying them on. They are jeans and are on sale and there is free shipping, but i like to try on things. They still have the track jacket at urban that i like a whole lot, but it's not going on sale, so i'm content with looking at it every time i go the store instead of owning it.

I moved into my new room this weekend. I am now in room 416. I didn't start any work until last evening. I feel a bit screwed right now, but hopefully by the end of the day i'll feel less screwed. That would be good. I had lots of fun this weekend. I have one more day of class, so i pretty much just have x amount of time before everything has to be turned in for finals and finals to be taken, it's time management fortnight, not so hot. My page count for finals week is less than i thought, because the bio paper is shorter than i thought it was going to be, current page count -2 of 24 ish. -2 because i have to write a response for music today which doesn't count for my finals stuff. Goal for today: finish music response, finish chem prob set, beging country music book, begin globalization book.

laters

ant

ahhhh! i'm a bad student, but that's ok. This week is not a fun one. If i were to have to breakdown it would be coming up soon. Big bio midterm on thursday, lots of studying needs to be done, none is. My 10-12 music paper i found out is due monday of finals week, not necessarily a bad thing, but this being 8th week gives me three weeks to do it. Unless i talk to him by thursday about a different type of topic it will involve reading a whole ethnography and writing about it. Might not sound like a lot, but i'll have to read a whole book, that could very well be horribly boring, and write about it, coherently because as of right now i only have 1 grade in that class, a 7/10 on one response, lol. I need to schedule, which means pick a major. I think i will set a deadline: a major should be arbitrarily picked by thursday. I have to spend a lot of time practicing singing and piano, because this week's assignment was rediculous and i can't play it. There are two bio review sessions, one today and one tomorrow, i guess i could go to them both. This is just a bad week. My feet are wet. I tried to go to bed early yesterday (1ish) and wake up early today (6:30 ish) and begin studying for bio, that failed horribly, did not get out of bed when my alarm went off, but magically woke up again at like 7:45, i have escaped sleeping through all of my classes on a tuesday or thursday multiple times seemingly by magic. I took a shower, i must have been pretty long, and that didn't wake me up, i was kinda comatose for an hour, then i went to class and DIDN'T fall asleep in bio. ok, i'm done, this is boring, pretend you didn't read it if you got this far, adios, harry potter on thursday!

ant

so i just found out that my bio final is optional. It doesn't matter what you got on the midterms, it's flat out optional. Right now i can barely think of any reason to take it. Hopefully i will do better on the next one than i did on the first one, but i don't know if getting a grade a little higher is worth all the work involved for the final. And there is also the possibility of not doing very well on it and bringing yourself down more, although you have to consider the possible difficulty of it, maybe it'll be easier than the midterms. I guess it depends how much of my papers i have to do and how long they have to be. That was just an interesting thing that happened today. My next midterm for bio is on thursday, not tomorrow, the next one, and if i don't take the final, that means that after that test, i could be done with everything but the paper. That would be tempting no matter what i got on the test. hmm. This has been the most unproductive day ever. Actually, it has. i didn't go to office hours, i couldn't think of things to bring and ask questions on, i didn't get any good ideas for my essay, i didn't read marx, the syllabus said there was like 60-70 pages of marx and i was like, there is no way on earth i'm reading that much marx, so instead i read none of it. We are really behind and haven't even talked about a bunch of stuff that was on the syllabus for earlier days, so we might not even talk about that stuff at all. I didn't do any more bio reading, yet. Although i kinda don't want to, ever again. I just flat out didn't do my ethnomusicology reading, i didn't even look at it online. There was only 1 and it was only 40 pages long, but i just didn't do it, although to be fair, i was planning on not doing it. That class is structured for minimal participation. 3 2-3 page response/papers on readings of your choice, 1 presentation and a final paper that really has almost nothing to do with the readings. excellent. I didn't review chem, although it probably doesn't matter in the slightest that i didn't do that. I should review it though, because we are doing real ochem now, so it's new and i should know it. However, the odd thing was that i did practice today, twice infact. I can't play or sing the stuff i need to be able to do for tomorrow in musicianship skills. It's hard, and i've been practicing all week, a few days twice. It's just hard. Friday i'm having brunch again with nadine. I'm making may skip class and come with me. ok, goodbye i NEED to do work, it's needed, jigglypuff! NO LINK!!!

Ant

somehow this day has been extremely wasteful. and thats not good. I just realized i have another immunobiology midterm next week and i have to do a sosc essay this weekend. I should have went to office hours but i didn't because i couldn't get good ideas for either of the essays. Arrg. I'm a pirate. I think i should just play smash all day long. No work. ce serait bon. j'aime cet idee. I've been slacking off a bit too. My ethnomusicology class is getting more and more, umm funny and less enjoyable. As the quarter has progressed, the readings have generally been getting longer and, i don't know if i've reached my critical mass of boring ethnomusicology readings, but i can't stomach any more. Lol, some of them are interesting, but some are absolutely horribly boring. Ya, so i just sit in class and try to amuse myself without causing a disturbance. I often almost laugh out loud though, so sometimes not causing a disturbance is more difficult than it sounds. Last class i started writing a post in class because i was bored. here it is:

So in ethnomusicology class, I realized I often don't pay attention. I was trying to, but then 5 minutes later I realized that I had no idea what he was talking about. Every once in a while I write down notes, or I could just write a post instead. Ilts didn't exist until 1810. I often find myself holding back laughter in this class. This class makes me very giggly. This one guy just came in 45 minutes late and then opened the blinds realy loudly and sat on the windowsill and started talking.

Anyway, i thought it was necessary to post it. I stopped writing the post in class though because i thought it would be funny if i was writing nonstop in my notebook no matter what the teacher was saying and everyone else was just sitting there. Lol, there's not that much to write down. I have to go soon, to bio discussion. That class is not very fun either. On tuesday i practically slept through the whole class. I didn't actually sleep through it, i was conscious the whole time. But i was kinda in a daze, i even took a shower that morning but i didn't wake up till ochem, which was like2.5 hours after i woke. I think i'm gonna study a lot for this next bio test and hopefully do well. then i will hopefully not have to take the final and just write a paper and i can wash my hands of that class without geting less than a B.

The season of eternal night is beginning to set it. Not so hot. I don't like eternal night. Although the weather has been holding out recently. It's been nice, and mild, and sunny, so i can't complain too much. I did run to a party in the rain this past weekend. Sorry no pictures, i was a bad person this weekend and took few pictures. Although i'm making up for it during the week now. Sometimes it's hard to make people cooperative towards having their pictures taken in the middle of the week. But i got some good pictures of uteri and shopping carts and house elves that i will be posting soon.

There's this meeting about honors bio program. For some reason i feel like i should go to it. It is immediately after my bio discussion so i might as well, it's in the same building. Although i'm not sure i really even want to try to get honors, i think that translates into more work. I'm going to have somewhere between 2-3 majors and/or and undisclosed amount of minors. Which is admittedly stupid, so i don't think i should work on honors in them also. But maybe i'll go and sit in the back, then leave.

Pump it.

So my friend jessica, you've all seen pictures, is having another one of the plays she wrote being performed this winter quarter. It involves singing and music, so i am helping her with transcription of the songs in her head and composition of piano and drum stuff and that should be fun. I have a meeting for that tonight. I feel kinda funny because i go to these meetings with all these UT (university theatre) people, and i am very much not a dramaesque person, but just sit there and kinda stare at the wall. Whatevs.

Up up and away to bio! and MHC and costimulation? i just can't get excited about this. laters

Ant
